Sarah E. Harman, 88, of Hughesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior with her family by her side on Friday, December 30, 2022. Born July 18, 1934, in Muncy, she was a daughter of Oscar L. and Blanche N. (Craig) Shaner. Sarah married Harland E. Harman on September 9, 1961 and shared 50 years of marriage.
Sarah went to school at Frenchtown one room school house and was a 1953 Hughesville graduate. Sarah went onto graduate from the State Beauty School Class of 1959. She worked as a beautician in her home for many years and as a secretary for Verus L. Shaner Farm Bureaus, Bonton and Sams Club. She attended Friends Church of Hughesville and enjoyed reading her bible and being a prayer warrior by praying for everyone. She also enjoyed crafts, gardening, bird watching, walking, biking, baking and weed whacking around her home, and the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Sarah is survived by a son, Aaron (Michelle) Harman, of Muncy; a daughter, Andralee (Don) Sinsabaugh, of Picture Rocks; brother, Paul (Donna) Shaner, of Muncy; four grandsons, Alex (Leandra) Harman, Cody (Karla) Harman, Kile (Rebecca) Sinsabaugh, Brad Sinsabaugh, a great-granddaughter, Paige Harman, with another great-grandchild on the way; Kim (Dennis) Davis, of Jersey Shore, who was a special niece that was like a second daughter; a number of nieces and nephews and by the people she prayed for.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, at Friends Church, 137 South 3rd St., Hughesville, with Pastor Dan Cale officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends may call from 12 – 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.
