Janice Kay Williams, 69, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022.
She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Misty Williams, Kristy Maddy (Jon); and son, Gabe Williams (Cindy); four grandchildren, Trevin (Tia), Gabby, Colton (Kenzi) and Chelsea (Tristen); as well as four great-grandchildren and her furry grandbabies. She is also survived by four sisters, Libby Chovan, Monica Herron, Cindy Cabe and Sara Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Estes Cabe, who she loved dearly.
She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the life of the party with her keen sense of humor. She was a friend and mother figure to so many people throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, vacationing at the beach, bird watching, completing crossword puzzles, sewing and making arts and crafts.
Before retiring from food service in February of 2018, she had held different jobs throughout her life, mostly in the service industry.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, in her honor, please consider making a donation to Casting for Hope in Asheville, N.C., the Elizabeth House-Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock, N.C., or the SECU House in Winston-Salem, N.C.
