Mildred F. Baines Obituary – Bucks County Courier Times


Mildred F. Baines, 99, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully, on Friday, October 28, 2022.

She was born in 1923, in Philadelphia, PA to the late, Francis R. and Dorothy H. (Seeger) Dietz. Mildred was raised in Philly, until moving to Pennsauken in 1945, where she spent 71 years of her life, before moving to Cherry Hill.

Mildred was a faithful member of the Martin Luther Chapel in Pennsauken, a proud member of AARP and, along with her husband, a member of the American Legion Post 68 of Merchantville. She loved to travel with her husband and family. Whether it was in their Winnebago across the country or flying across Europe or the Caribbean, she loved to take in the beautiful landscapes and attractions. Most notably, her travels took her to Switzerland, France, Italy, England, St. Thomas and Mexico. She and her husband had also visited 48 continental states. Mildred thoroughly enjoyed her bird watching, crocheting, crafts, and candy making. Most of all, she loved her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, relative and friend. She will be missed.

Mildred was predeceased by her loving husband of 73 years, Albert Baines in 2015, and her siblings, Dorothy MacVaugh and Robert Dietz.

She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her sons and their wives, Gordon (Joan) Baines, Mark (Joyce) Baines and Craig (Patricia) Baines, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, as well as, many extended relatives and good friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10 at 10:00 at Martin Luther Chapel, 4100 Terrace Ave., Pennsauken, NJ, followed by a church service at 11:00. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Mildred’s honor to Martin Luther Chapel, Pennsauken or the charity of their choice.
