Obituary for Cheryl Suzanne "Suzie" Rhoades, Pine Bluff, AR – Arkansas Online


Cheryl Suzanne "Suzie" Rhoades, age 68, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022. Born February 17, 1954, at Little Rock, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lee Jackson and Elizabeth Deloyce Cullins Jackson. She grew up at Sheridan, and was a Yellowjacket thru-and-thru. She was a member of the class of 1972. Suzie also earned an Associate's degree in nutrition from Florida State University. She was employed as a nutritional specialist at Jefferson Regional Medical Center for 31 years. For 18 years, she also worked at Town and Country Grocery Store. Suzie attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, and loved singing Southern Gospel hymns and good preaching. She also loved working crossword puzzles, bird watching, and Bible stories.
She was also predeceased by a great-grandson, Myles Cleiburn Holcomb.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Ann May (Jamie Christopher May); a brother, David Edward Jackson (Maria Petrus Jackson); her grandchildren, Brooke Paige Holcomb (Matthew Slade Holcomb), Brittany Faith Hankins (James Homer Hankins), Morgen Ashleigh May and Christa Micala May: great-grandchildren, Kingston Carter Escamilla, Romi Rei Escamilla, Easton Drake May, and another "on the way"; a nephew, Daniel Lee Jackson; a niece, April Mitchell Massingale (Daniel Edward Massingale; and six great-nieces and-nephews.
Graveside services will be Thursday, March 3, 2022, 2 p.m., at Fitzhugh Cemetery by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit: FullerFunerals.com
